Wedding Emergency Kit (Murphy was right)
Not only does time speed up where a wedding is happening, but things seem to drop through rents in the fabric of space. If you haven't had a facial blemish since you were sixteen, you will get one now. Of course, not all of the possible problems will arise, but I have seen all of them at one time or another. And those things you usually don't eat that you did eat at the rehearsal dinner? Well, you may be reminded why you usually don't eat them. Be prepared.
- MEDICINES AND FIRST AID
- Antacid
- Antihistamine, allergy medicine, cold remedy
- Any prescription medications
- Aspirin, Tylenol®, or Advil®, Alleve® or generic equivalents
- Bandaids
- Hard candy (for low blood sugar, if the bride has butterflies in the stomach and won't eat.)
- Smelling salts
- Anti-biotic ointment (with topical anaesthetic)
- Oragel® (maximum strength) or other toothache remedy - works very well to quell itching of insect bites!
- Visine®
- Cotton swabs, balls, or makeup pads
- Baby wipes
- Tranquilizers. CAREFUL: Make sure they are prescribed for the bride, that she doesn't take too many or forget that she took one already and -

- A great big towel or salon cape (makeup repair after bride cries)

- Small sewing kit - make sure there is thread suitable for bridesmaids' dresses
- Shears or good scissors
- Straight pins
- Masking tape (for ripped hems)
- Double sided tape (also for ripped hems)

- Nail glue (for fingernails)
- Dress shields
- Hand mirror. The ceremony venue will have wall mirrors, but you want to see the back of your head.
- Small flashlight
- Paper clips - they can be made into a variety of tools.
- Florist's wire and florist's tape
- Safety pins
- Twisty ties
